On my recent visit to Iceland this year I made it a point to search for Arctic Fox and it paid off. I dedicated a couple days to find these adorable critters in the northern territories of the island. I found a den that had 4 pups that would come out and play during the day.
There were three that were a mix of grey and black with one being all black, they were so playful and curious. I spent hours laying in the grass, in the wind, the sunshine and the rain. Eventually they became so comfortable with my presence one of them came right over to me and laid down chewing on a bone from a near by sheep carcass.
I have never loved a wild animal as much as I fell in love with these adorable things. I will have to go back to Iceland in winter to catch them in full white coats next. Check out the other shots from these cuties in my wildlife gallery.
