This morning would change my life. We arrived at this location in the middle of the night before chasing aurora and decided that it was too good to go to bed and pushed through until the morning. As the first light started to appear my good friend Rachel asked me “is it time to try on the glasses?”. She was talking about the colourblind glasses I was sent to try out. Yup that’s right I am colourblind. When I put the glasses on the pale muted sunrise turned into a burning inferno. The red became explosive, I could see the oranges and to the west I could see the pinks and purples. It was like a curtain of colour dropped infant of my eyes. I couldn’t believe it was real, I could not believe this is what I was missing. It brought me to tears to see how beautiful it truly was.
