I was in the western part of Iceland near the western most point. I had settled in for the night when I got an alert in my phone that the Aurora might appear later in the witching hours. So I set my alarm and grabbed some zzz’s. After what felt like second my alarm went off and I peaked out of the camper van windows to see a faint green lady Aurora appear. I got out and hiked over to the edge of one of my favourite waterfalls Kirkjufellfoss. The water was rushing over the cliffs as the sky started to explode. There were a handful of other photographers wander the falls just as I was. Who would have known that later that trip I would run into them again and become great friends.
