Lake Louise is another iconic Rocky Mountain destination. It was my grandfathers favourite place to visit and every year we would come a few times. It was a calm gorgeous morning, the air was crisp and the like still as could be. There were a lot of clouds covering the mountains that day and I wasn’t sure if anything exciting would happen. Nature had other plans, the sun just barely broke the range behind us while sneaking under the clouds. It ignited the clouds all around us and lit up the glacier above. The moment was incredible. Sadly just a few days after taking this photo my grandfather passed away. Nothing ever prepares you for that moment but I am glad we had a place like this to share our time. I am thank I have a place to return to when I think of him. I named this shot after him, his last name translated to English means “Little Mountain”. I love you Pop.
